Short version: Unmark has no account and no server. Your clipboard content is never stored and never transmitted. Every conversion happens on your device.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the Unmark website and to the Unmark app for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Unmark is a product by Curato Labs.
No account, no server
Unmark does not offer or require sign-in of any kind. There is no Unmark server. Nothing you convert is uploaded, and there is no history of your conversions anywhere, on our side or on yours.
Your clipboard
Clipboard content is never stored and never transmitted. It is converted in memory and written straight back to the clipboard.
On the Mac, the app reads the clipboard only when the popover is opened, when the hotkey is pressed, or when Auto-convert is on. At every other moment it is not reading your clipboard. When Auto-convert is on, the app checks whether the clipboard has changed and reads it only when it holds plain text that is not already rich text and was not written by Unmark itself.
On iPhone and iPad, the app reads the clipboard only when you tap Paste, and the share extension only receives the text you selected and shared into it.
Analytics
Unmark sends anonymous TelemetryDeck signals that carry event names only, for example that a conversion happened. They never carry your text, any part of it, or anything derived from it. No advertising identifiers are used and no App Tracking Transparency prompt is needed.
Purchases
Unmark Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
Our other apps
The "More from Curato Labs" list is fetched from a static file so it can be kept current between releases. The request carries no information about you and no information about what you have converted.
Support email
If you write to support, we receive whatever you include in that email, such as your address, your device details and your message.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we hold no clipboard content to sell or share in the first place. We may disclose limited information where the law requires it.
Children
Unmark is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Unmark changes. The latest version is always published at this URL with the revised date.
