How to paste Claude into Google Docs with formatting

Paste the answer into the converter below, copy it as rich text, and paste that into your Google Doc.

Google Docs converts pasted HTML into real document structure. Headings become entries in the document outline, list items become list items you can indent with Tab, and an HTML table becomes a Docs table with cells you can click into.

Claude, like every chat model, writes in Markdown and copies plain text. Docs receives the hash marks, asterisks and pipe characters as literal characters. Docs does auto-format a few Markdown shortcuts while you type, but it does not apply them to pasted text, and it has never had one for tables.

Unmark converts the answer to HTML before it reaches the clipboard, so the paste lands as a structured document instead of a transcript.
